The School of Economic Sciences offers highly rated Ph.D. programs in Economics and Agricultural Economics, an M.A. degree in Applied Economics, and undergraduate programs leading to B.S. and B.A. degrees that open doors to a wide variety of career paths. The School has over 75 graduate students and 150 undergraduates.
The School is dedicated to high-quality teaching, research, outreach and engagement. Students are taught by 35 full-time faculty members from many economic disciplines. The faculty and students are actively engaged in cutting-edge research. There is a strong tradition of excellence in applied econometric modeling. Recent publications include journal articles in Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Law & Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics & Management, and the American Journal of Agricultural Economics.

New faculty hires
Five new faculty joined the School in the Fall of 2008: Andrew Cassey, Seung Choi, Karina Gallardo, Felix Munoz, and Mykel Taylor. Ana Espinola joined SES as a post doctoral researcher, and Justin Taylor is a research associate.
Full Professor Jeffrey LaFrance, joined SES from UC Berkeley in January 2008.
