About the Authors

 

Ron C. Mittelhammer is the Director of the School of Economic Sciences Washington State University. He is also the author of Mathematical Statistics for Economics and Business (Springer-Verlag, 1996) as well as book chapters and numerous articles in refereed economics, statistics, and econometrics journals. Professor Mittelhammer's current research focus is on econometric theory for applications to a range of fields in Economics. His skill as a teacher of statistics and econometrics has evolved over more than two decades of graduate-level teaching and is documented by teaching evaluations and awards.

George G. Judge is a Professor at University of California, Berkeley. Professor Judge has also served on the faculty of the University of Illinois, the University of Connecticut, and Oklahoma State University, and has been a visiting professor at several U.S. and European universities. He is the coauthor or editor of fourteen other books on econometrics and related fields, author or coauthor of over 150 articles in referred journals. His research explores specification and evaluation of statistical decision rules, improved inference methods, parametric and semiparametric estimation and information recovery in the case of ill-posed inverse problems with noise. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the Journal of Econometrics, and the American Agricultural Economics Association.

Douglas J. Miller is an Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Over the past five years, his primary teaching assignment has been graduate-level econometrics. He has delivered lectures on a range of econometric topics at several universities. he is coauthor of Maximum Entropy Econometrics: Robust Estimation with Limited Data (Wiley, 1996), and his research in theoretical and applied econometrics has been published in several book chapters and refereed journal articles.
